HOW DO PLUG-IN HYBRID CARS WORK?

Plug-in hybrid cars are run by two power sources: a conventional fuel-powered engine and an electric motor that’s driven by a battery – which can be charged up either at home or a public charging station. This gives you the choice to drive in pure electric mode for those shorter journeys, before seamlessly switching to the combustion engine when required – driving exactly as your usual fuel-powered car would.
